The RS11 is a data converter for analog engine sensors (tachometer & gauges) into CANbus (J-1939 and NMEA 2000) digital messages. This allows for J-1939 and NMEA 2000 display devices to monitor a vessels' engine(s). Both single and dual engine installations are supported. Two tachometer (rpm) and four analog (gauge) inputs are available.

The RS11 connects directly to a CANbus network via a cable which also provides its DC power. All other connections are made to a terminal strip which includes a serial (RS-232) interface for setup and monitoring by a PC. Analog inputs have jumper selectable ranges for inputs up to 30V.
